We just published some numbers worth celebrating: Local speaker representation at WordCamp Asia 2026 reached 75.4%, up from 38% in 2025 and just 29% in 2024. That's a remarkable jump in a short time.
WPapac had previously advocated for a minimum of 60% local representation, so to see it come in well above that target is genuinely encouraging for the region.
We'd love to hear your thoughts:
- Does better local representation matter to you?
- Does it change how you see or engage with WordCamp Asia?
- What should the target look like for 2027? Let us know via the poll
